Actor Tomáš Dastlík was born in 1975 in Pardubice. After graduating from the Grammar School in Pardubice, he first studied at the University of Pardubice's Faculty of Economics and Administration. Only then did he successfully complete the Brno JAMU, majoring in drama acting under the direction of Josef Karlík and Aleš Bergman. Immediately after school, he joined the Petr Bezruč Theater in Ostrava, where he worked for ten years and successfully portrayed four dozen theater roles. Many of these performances were shown on television as theatrical recordings. Cyrano and Evžen Onegin are worth mentioning, in which Tomáš Dastlík plays the main roles (Cyrano and Evžen Onegin). Working in the Petr Bezruč Theater is also closely connected with theater awards for his acting performance. In 2012, he won several acting awards for the already mentioned Evžen Oněgin (dir. J. Mikulášek), including for the main acting performance at the Festival of Theaters of Moravia and Silesia in Český Těšín. In 2014, he received the award for the best acting performance at the Kopřiva V Kopřivnice theater festival for the role of Astrov in Strýčkov Váňov (dir. Š. Pácl), in 2013 he was nominated for the Thalia Award for the role of Heathcliff in Na větrné hůrce (dir. J. Mikulášek) and Alfréd Radok Award. He has been working in Prague since 2014. Now he is engaged in the Theater in Vinohrady, where he has already played a whole series of roles. (Love in Crimea – the role of Sejkin, Nevzdávej to! – the role of Mike, both directed by Juraj Deák). You can also see him in the Ungelt Theater in a performance called Death and the Girl. The move to Prague also meant expanding the field of film and television acting. He got a big opportunity in the TV movie At the Second Look, directed by Petr Nikolaev, where he played the role of Emil Lang. The prominent role of Pope Johannes XXIII was played by Jan Hus in the film (dir. J. Svoboda). He also appeared in a number of series. More prominent roles include the role of the Moravian Martin Maléř in the series Ulice, or the role of former skin Bláha in the second series of crime stories Kriminálka Anděl 2. On the other hand, he played one of the detectives in the miniseries Detectives from the Holy Trinity. Tomáš Dastlík speaks English, understands German and Russian. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, harmonica and singing, fishing, diving and all kinds of sports, including fighting and adrenaline sports.
